Who I am and What Our Work Together Looks Like
Hi! I’m Sarah!
My approach to therapy centers on depth-work, looking beyond surface symptoms to understand the deeper patterns and experiences shaping your life. While relief from distress is often part of the process, my focus is on genuine transformation rather than surface-level problem-solving. I offer Ketamine-Assisted Therapy as one potential tool within this deeper work, supporting clients in accessing expanded states of awareness and emotional insight. Whether or not this modality becomes part of our process, the foundation of our work will be curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to uncovering what lies beneath patterns of suffering. You may find this approach meaningful if you are seeking therapy to address relational trauma, identity exploration, or existential concerns — or if you feel called toward profound personal growth and transformation.
With more than twenty years of experience—and through my own ongoing healing journey—I bring depth, presence, and compassion to the therapeutic process. Our work together is a partnership: I’ll walk alongside you as we explore both familiar and uncharted aspects of your inner world. My hope is that you will come to feel a deeper sense of ease within yourself.
I’m grateful to be back in Western North Carolina after having practices in Chicago, IL, and Charleston, SC. I started my career in non-profit community mental health settings, where I worked with refugees, individuals with severe and persistent mental health problems and addiction, and the unhoused. I absolutely loved that work and feel that it changed my life and how I view the world.
I’m an avid animal lover and spend much of my free time hiking with my two dog daughters, Ramona and Elinor. I also love kayaking, throwing pottery and cooking. I am always looking for an opportunity to learn something new, a passion that I bring to both my personal and professional life.
Credentials: I am a licensed therapist in NC, IL and SC. I am certified through the Ketamine Training Center (KTC). I am board certified in Neurofeedback (BCN). I am a certified Advanced Addictions Counselor (AADC).
